Preparing to Register

Grade-Point Average Requirements

To be eligible to register continuously without conditions, a student must maintain good academic standing. The following scholastic standards, relative to completed credits and grade-point average (GPA), determine a student's academic standing:

  • A minimum GPA of 1.75 is required for those who complete fewer than 27 credits (freshmen).
  • A minimum GPA of 1.90 is required for those who complete 27-59 credits (sophomores).
  • A minimum GPA of 2.00 is required for those who complete 60 credits or more (juniors and seniors).

Class Attendance Policy

Attendance in class is expected, and may be required by the instructor. If attendance is required, and will impact grading, it is the responsibility of the instructor to clearly communicate that policy to students.
