The Financial Aid Resources and Forms page has everything you will need to complete your application for financial aid at NDSU. There are three types of financial aid that you may apply for at NDSU. There are Federal and State Grants, which do not have to be repaid. There are loans, which are broken into two categories: Federal Loans and Alternative Loans. Both loan types have to be repaid, but you do have control over who lends you the money. Finally, there are Scholarships. Some are renewable, others are one-time payments, but none of them have to be repaid.
There is also a set of guides for further information regarding the different types of financial aid (The Student Guide for Financial Aid, Student Tax Guide, etc.).
The last thing worth noting on this page is the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirement. The SAP policy outlines the grade point and percent of classes completed you must achieve each semester in order to be eligible for some types of financial aid. It is worth becoming familiar with the SAP to ensure eligibility throughout your stay at NDSU.
